Easter Sunday Schedule, April 8th

6:45am – Sunrise Service at Recreation Lake Shelter House. Doug Lawrence will be leading service. Recreation Lake is west on Nursery street pass the fairgrounds.
8:30am – Traditional Worship Service. This service uses hymnals for songs with organ and piano music.
9:30am – Breakfast in fellowship hall in basement of church.
10:00am – Sunday School for all ages. This is a time of grade Bible study.
11:00am – Contempoorary Worship Service. This service is led by the church praise band and includes drama and more videos than the traditional worship.

Dinner Theater set for Saturday April 14th

The IBC Youth Drama team will present a dinner theater as a youth fund raiser on Saturday night, April 14th at 7pm. Dinner menu for the evening includes: Salad, Pork Chop, Potato, Vegetable, Dessert & Drink. The dinner theater will take place in the worship center taking advantage of the comfortable seating, adjustable lighting, good sound equipment and the stage. Youth will serve the meal and cleanup after the evening activities. Tips in addition to the $10 per person ticket price would be acceptable. Youth to Acquire the Fire Event in Kansas City February 10th and 11th

The normal life says, “take the path of least resistance… it’s easier that way.” But the truth is that the path of least resistance makes crooked rivers and crooked men… Normal’s Not Enough!

What Jesus did on the cross wasn’t normal… neither is what He calls His followers to. It is anything but normal! He is inviting us to remove ourselves from the mundane rituals that appear fun for a moment, but ultimately kill our dreams and our drive. He spoke of a Kingdom that is coming, a kingdom within us that HE wants to build. Following in His footsteps is the beginning of a torrent of spiritual life, freedom from sin and the trance of boredom this world spins for us. This generation of youth is NOT looking for a new definition of Christianity… rather a NEW demonstration of Christianity. Because Normal’s Not Enough!

This event is for youth grades 7th—12th. Cost is $25 per ticket for admission to the event and $5 per person for Saturday evening meal at Pizza Street. Friday evening snack and both breakfast and lunch are provided free. Each youth should bring additional money if they want to buy a T-shirt. The bus will leave the church parking lot at 4:30pm, February 11th. The youth will be spending the night at First Baptist Church, Raymore, MO. Each youth needs to bring sleeping bag and pillow. Ladies’ Bible Study Meets Every Monday At 6:30pm
